Linda Burns produces, line produces and production manages national commercials, corporate industrials, still photo shoots, webisodes, microseries, and television shows, pilots and promos. As a veteran independent film producer, Burns is a key player, collaborating with some of Atlanta's best writers and directors, often consulting behind the scenes to nurture emerging talent.

In 2012, the Sundance Film Festival premiered her new short, Amateur Night, directed by David Bruckner as part of the feature film V/H/S, a found footage-style anthology from BloodyDisgusting.com. The Little Death, produced with Director Bret Wood, releases on DVD and VOD through Kino Lorber, and her latest feature, The Proxy directed by Dan Bush, finishes up post-production and will begin seeking distribution this spring.

Her next three independent feature projects with one of The Signal directors Dan Bush and screenwriters Conal Byrne and Brian Ransom, are currently in the final stages of development. Aurora is repped by William Morris Endeavor, Bateson Devise is repped by Cinetic Media, and their newest project, The Trust, repped by Floren/Shieh Productions, is slated for filming in 2012. She’s also set to produce Pretty Like Me with Sundance Labs alum and writer/director Milford Thomas (Claire), The Control Group with Bret Wood (Psychopathia Sexualis), and will collaborate with David Bruckner (The Signal, Talk Show) on his first feature length film.

Her indie short and feature film credits include: her directorial debut Living is Winning, an award-winning documentary feature distributed by Passion River; Petunia, an award-winning 37-minute musical currently in development in New York as a feature; Shooting Creek, a Civil War action drama which premiered at Telluride, was licensed by Starz-Encore, and is avail through Netflix; Last Goodbye, an award-winning ensemble drama available on Warner’s Home Video; and the Sundance Film Festival hit and John Cassavetes Independent Spirit Award nominee The Signal, theatrically released by Magnolia Pictures and currently available on DVD.

Festival appearances include Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, San Francisco Int'l, Seattle, Telluride, Melbourne, New Haven, New York Expo, Venice, Clermont-Ferrand, Sidewalk, Sitges – Catalonian Int’l Film Fest and Gen Art. Burns has twice traveled to The Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan as part of the award-winning exhibition, The Sacred Arts of Bhutan. Opening in 2008 at the Honolulu Academy of Art, it spent three years travelling to museums worldwide before returning home. Burns taught film production classes to monks and consulted on the documentation of over 300 hours of sacred ancient Buddhist monastic dance.

Burns sits on the advisory boards for Core of Culture and Camp Flix, the executive boards of Atlanta Film Festival 365 and Georgia Production Partnership, and was the first board chair for Dailies at PushPush Theater. She is an industry and festival panelist, teaches film production classes and intensive workshops, and is an active member of the film and theater community.
